  This Solar Battery Charger is a great buy. I have not tried charging the unit via USB, but is charges up fine in the sun. I have used it to charge my phone, Ipod, and Bluetooth headset without any problems. It seems well constructed.

  I bought two of these and mounted them to my PWC trailer tongue. During the day, there is anywhere from 7-18 volts DC flowing to my batteries keeping them fresh. Taking out pwc batteries and bringing them home to keep on a trickle charge sucks. My PWC\'s are kept in an open storage lot and these work perfectly to keep the batteries fresh with NO maintenance.

  What\'s nice about the is that this solar charger has an internal rechargeable lithium battery.Although it\'s meant to be charged in the sun, its internal battery can also be charged by plugging it in to a standard wall outlet if I need a quick charge in the evening.

  At the end of the day I\'m able to bring my Iphone 4, Ipod shuffle & Kindle 3 back to 100% and still have enough power to use the light for about 2 hours. As another reviewer pointed out having a way to attach the charger to a backpack would be nice, for the moment I use a ziplock bag and a safety pin to attach it and keep it weather tight while walking.

  I have been using the Solar Battery Charger for 3 weeks to trickle charge 2 lawnmower batteries. It has kept them going. I charge one battery every night using the light from my grow lights. Even with low light the charger has enough output to trickle charge. During sunny days I move the batteries outside to be charged.
