A: "Din"stands for "Deutsches Institut für Normung" (DIN, the German Institute for Standardization), similar to ISO. The relevance for car DVD systems is that DIN means a standard sized dashboard slot,meana the measurement of the Car DVD is 180 mm x 50 mm. And "double din" means the size is 180 mm x 100 mm. It’s just double the value of the former one.

This is my second purchase of this 2 Din car DVD, this time for my wife. It is almost a no-brainer of a purchase. I received it within 4 days and pleased with the screen size. Once I installed it, it worked perfectly other than a few things. My kids really enjoyed them.

I bought this 2 din car DVD player as a gift to my daughter, she likes it very much. As the work function is decent as good as what I expected, and the sound is in good quality. I did a lot of research before purchasing this unit and the Car DVD player is wonderful.The picture quality is as good as any 7\" I\'ve seen and the sound is the best I\'ve heard and easily \'speaks above\' road noise.
